NCLEX Applications

NCLEX Applications

Guidance for State Selection: When choosing a state for NCLEX application, avoid selecting based on popularity or desired work location. Consider the state’s requirements for foreign nurses, such as:

  • IELTS or TOEFL results
  • Clinical experience
  • Social Security Number (SSN) for license issuance – Some Boards of Nursing (BONs) may only provide a pass letter and not issue a license if you don’t have an SSN. It’s advisable to apply to a state that issues a license upon passing the NCLEX, as you can later endorse your license to another state.
  • Foreign Applicants: If you are a foreign-trained nurse, you will have different requirements depending on the state, such as a Credential Evaluation Service (CES) report from CGFNS or Josef & Silny Associates.

N.B: New York, California, and the Northern Mariana Islands do not require a CES report for NCLEX-RN applications. We’ll handle your New York application directly, ensuring all requirements are met.

When you apply with us, we will best advise you on the SBON to select.
